Big news in April - We're Launching a DataDrivenPharma Community Slack!

Connect between and outside of events as well

Ever since we hosted our first event in May 2024, I've wanted to build a dedicated community space for DataDrivenPharma, where conversations could continue outside of our event calendar. This way, our ability to bring the community together in-person would not be a bottleneck for connection. But I haven’t had the throughput and support to actually get this project off the ground.

That has changed. We now have Amanda Zane on the team, and she is kicking ass and taking names. And thanks to her, we are finally able to launch a DataDrivenPharma Community Slack.

The goal is simple: creating a high-quality, low-noise channel to exchange ideas, ask questions, and stay connected with the people they've met through our Forums and Conferences.

We're launching this carefully, because the thing that makes it worth having is the same thing that makes our events worth attending: the quality of the community.

The connections that actually matter, ones that open unexpected doors, accelerate your thinking, and turn into real collaborations, don't sustain themselves on their own. We've run multiple events each year specifically to create recurring touchpoints, but the honest truth is there are only so many events we can do sustainably, and a community space is how I hope to address this limitation.

How we're starting:

The community is initially available to people in technical roles only.

If you'd like to participate in the pilot, grab your spot here.

You may also invite others in technical roles, keeping in mind that we are a community for data science people in pharma and biotech.

New members will get exclusive offers for #ddpeast26!

Say hi to me once you in 🙌

Not a lot of people know this, but I got the idea for DataDrivenPharma after attending a Bay Area Bioinformatics Forum in early 2024. BayBIFX has been putting on community events for well over 10 years. Legends! Check them out this Wednesday, April 8 - register here (I'll be there too)!
